: IS THERE REALLY 'NO CATCH'?
Understandably, we’ve fielded a lot of questions about whether there’s a catch with this program. That is, if these are truly valuable and useful services, then there must be a hidden cost or obligation, because we all know nothing in life is free.
So here’s the straight goods: The Florida Panthers cover the costs of Pointstreak’s three major services (stats, registration & websites) for local hockey clubs in South Florida area. In return, the Panthers get to build an online connection with local hockey clubs and associations just like yours. Why would they want this? It’s called ‘community outreach’ and not only is it simply a good thing to do, but it’s also good for business. The Panthers want to actively support youth hockey in ways that help folks like yourself run a club with less effort, less cost and that helps young kids play hockey. Young hockey players in South Florida, after all, are likely to grow up to become Panthers hockey fans.
: WHAT IF I ONLY WANT A NEW WEBSITE? OR JUST A REGISTRATION SYSTEM? DO I HAVE TO GET ALL THREE SERVICES?
No. Your league is already using Pointstreak Stats for scores, standings, etc., but it is up to you whether you want a website, a registration system or both.
: ARE THERE ANY HIDDEN COSTS?
All the service fees for all three Pointstreak services are covered each year by the Panthers, meaning you’ll never see an invoice from Pointstreak.
